Delegation of School of Medicine and Life Sciences visited Japan University

From November 6th to 12th, 2016, nine postgraduates from the School of Medicine and Life Sciences led by vice president Li Fuhui conducted academic and cultural exchanges at the Japan University of Occupational and Environmental Health in Fukuoka.
 During the visit, the university organized seven lectures and seminars on topics such as environmental epidemiology, occupational health protection, health toxicology, emergency medicine, occupational mental health, radiation and health, public health system and so forth. In addition to the research institutes and affiliated hospitals of the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, the delegation also visited the Medical College Hospital of Kumamoto University, Kyushu Emergency Medical Research Center, and the National Minamata Disease Research Center. The delegation also visited the Kokura Castle, Kokura Garden, Tottori Museum, Kitakyushu Nature and Human History Museum and other cultural landscapes.
Prof. Toshihiro Tatsumi, President of the Japan University of Occupational and Environmental Health, met with all the members of the delegation and talked extensively on the cooperation between the two sides. The two sides reached an agreement on continuing to apply for the Japan-Asia Science and Technology Exchange Program for Youngsters (Sakura Science and Technology) and various forms of communication for teachers and students.
